When you order, you choose how your files will be delivered – as a digital download or mailed to you on a thumb-drive.
Teacher’s guides are included in the digital download and on the thumb-drive. You can also order a spiral-bound, full-color copy with the thumb-drive at check-out.
WHAT AGE GROUP IS SPYENCE BEST FOR?
Spyence is geared for elementary ages (Kindergarten through 5th-Grade), but we’ve heard lots of stories about older and younger siblings loving it too, so feel free to adapt it to your setting.
HOW LONG OF A CLASS IS SPYENCE DESIGNED FOR?
It was designed with a 75-minute class in mind, but by adding or removing segments in the teacher’s guide, each Spyence lesson could vary from 30 minutes to 90 minutes.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT THAN THE “FOR FAMILIES” OPTION?
The “for families” option gives you the rights to share the videos within your family. The “for churches” option gives you the rights to use the videos in your church or homeschool group.
The “for churches” option also includes extras that don’t come with the “for families” option: 1) Large-Group Teacher’s Guides, 2) Small-Group Leader’s Guides, 3) Spyence Experiments, 4) Icebreaker Games, 5) Memory Verse Activities, 6) Review Videos to quickly review the previous week’s lesson for kids who missed it, 7) Preview Videos to get kids excited about coming back for next week’s lesson, 8) Presentation Files that include all the videos and graphics you need to teach the lesson (formats provided: ready-to-go PowerPoint and KeyNote presentations, plus individual video and graphic files to drop into the presenation software of your choice, plus one-continuous-video version for teachers who just want to hit play.)
If you’re going to use Spyence in your church or homeschool group, you’ll definitely want to buy the “for churches” option. It wouldn’t make sense to teach this curriculum without the teacher’s guides, classroom activities, etc., not to mention it’s the right thing to do.
CAN I EMAIL THE TEACHER’S GUIDES TO MY TEACHERS?
Yes! Just attach the PDF or MS Word document to an email and send it to your teachers. Or share it through Dropbox, Google Drive, etc. All we ask is that you only share them with teachers in your own church or homeschool group.
DO I HAVE TO DO THE SEASONS IN ORDER?
It’s definitely preferable to do the seasons in order, since each season builds on the storyline that previous seasons have been developing. (The only exceptions are the Christmas and Easter mini-seasons, which can be used at any time.)
However, if for some reason you need to start with Season 2, we have included a 5-minute summary of Season 1 that will give your kids the gist of what’s going on.
Seasons 3 and on include a 3-minute review video that shows what was happening at the end of the previous season, so that kids can jump right into the story.
WHEN I PURCHASE THE CURRICULUM, CAN I USE IT IN MORE THAN ONE CLASSROOM OR GRADE-LEVEL, OR DO I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT?
Your license allows you to make copies of the videos and use the curriculum teacher’s guides in as many classrooms and grade-levels as you want (in your own children’s ministry or homeschool group).
WHAT ADDITIONAL MATERIALS WILL I NEED TO BUY?
We’d love to send you everything you need for the experiments and games, but shipping would be difficult. So instead, we make it as easy as possible by giving you descriptions and links for everything you need.
To give you an idea of what you might need to buy, picture the usual Children’s Ministry supplies (minus glitter) – paper-clips, plastic cups, food coloring, etc. You can get everything from places like Amazon, Walmart, Staples, or the Dollar Store.
DOES THE SPYENCE CURRICULUM COME WITH WORSHIP SONGS?
We have two free worship songs available for you to download and use with the Spyence Curriculum on this page.
